Yellow Letters & Tire Kickers

Hey BP,

I'm just starting to get calls from a batch of YLs I sent out last week. First timer here. So far, the calls have been from people who have no interest in selling their house, but "would for the right price." We're talking zero motivation here!

What are your thoughts on using language in the YL to pre-screen some of these people. Such as:

  • Tired of Tenants? Just want to get rid of your house and move on? Let us make you an offer today!
  • Selling your house to us means $ in your pocket: no realtor fees, no closing costs, no need to fix up the house - no hassle!

I'm sure these tire-kickers start to take up quite a bit of time as a YL campaign grows larger. Penny for your thoughts?

Dont dismiss the tire kickers just yet. First off it's good practice. Secondly, they may lead to a referral. Thirdly (thirdly? is that a word?) They may become motivated sellers in the future.
