How do you protect yourself from TCPA violations and Do Not Call List lawsuits

A local agent recently got sued for calling an old client who was on the Do Not Call list. It seems ridiculous, but that's the world we live in now. With the increasing number of lawsuits and penalties for TCPA violations, I'd like to cover my backside and remain compliant.

How do you scrub your lists to ensure you’re not contacting people on the Do Not Call list? Do you use any tools or services to automate the process, or is it something you manually handle?

Anyone can be sued. Do you have the case online?
For us, we only call people who have subscribed through our website and completed a form online. We have had one attorney contact us about one of their clients saying they never completed the form - we sent them the information and they asked us for all this other information which we ignored as we had no obligation to provide any information to them. They were a law firm who hunts class action suits to go against companies.  After ignoring them they eventually went away.
