Amenta have you read the beginners guide that you can find here on BP? If not, study it. Then buy J Scott's Book on Flipping Houses. I understand you're looking to wholesale, not flip, but flippers will be your market and in order to be successful at any business you need to understand your market. Once you read those books you may find that Aaron is not being sarcastic but rational and realistic. I know sometimes the truth hurts but education is the first step in any new endeavor and in real estate there's a language you need to learn in order to be able to develop the relationships you need to succeed.

Everyone here was new once too. Bigger Pockets makes it easier and cheaper than ever for newbies to get the education they need. Being a good and humble student, accepting advice and sometimes criticism with gratitude will take you far.
