Owner Deceased 1 Year, How To Try To Purchase?

Hi y’all! There’s a house in my neighborhood I’ve had my eye on for months. Finally looked it up and the only info I’ve been able to find is that the owner died in March 2022, and has a son.

I was hoping that wholesalers might know how to go about tracking down more info. My assumption is that it’s in probate, and will either go to the son eventually, or wind up on the auction block. There is $8,000 plus owed in back taxes.

I will continue to try to figure out some info on the son, but is there anything else I can/should be doing? Thank you!!
