Detroit blight violation notices (tickets)
Im in contract to purchase a rental property in Detroit and it has about $2300 in blight tickets that were never paid by the existing owner. Their title company claims the tickets follow the owner and not the property so they don't include it in the closing disclosure. Im not convinced so if anyone who has experience with this, please let me know. Thanks

@Jose N. SIMPLE SOLUTION:
if that is what the title company is claiming, then ask them to insure over the tickets to protect you. Of course, you may want to get a real estate attorney involved to make sure the title company writes the proper legal clause to protect you.
Guessing that once you ask for this, they will "suddenly" realize they can't do that and the tickets need to be resolved from the seller's side.
