401k Swap to Self-Directed 401k

Zachary Bellinghausen

I am wanting to transfer my 401k to a self directed 401k. I am having issue finding a CPA who is well versed in all the nuances involved in this. Any BP members who know of a Central Florida CPA who is a pro at real estate world and 401k swaps?

    @Zachary Bellinghausen,

    You don't need a CPA for this. Rollover from your old employer 401k into self-directed Solo 401k is not a taxable event and wont' affect your taxes. You need a specialty provider firm specializing in these types of account to set up IRS-compliant plan for you.

    Solo 401k plan is not for everyone, you must be eligible in order to establish one. Do you qualify?
