Minnesota Landlord/Tenant Laws

For anyone with experience investing in Minnesota. I've been doing some research into the Landlord/Tenant laws, and admittedly I am a bit confused as to whether Minnesota is a Landlord friendly state or if it's a Tenant friendly state. I've heard from different resources, some say Landlord, and some say Tenant. So which is it? Appreciate the help!

Both are simultaneously true. The problem is your comprehension, not the market.

In Minnesota, the state does not dictate the fine details, it is the specific cities. So in the MN Twin Cities there is cities who are amazingly landlord friendly, and than there is other cities who are wildly hostile. It changes city too city.

And than there is cities like Minneapolis who the experience varies a ton based on how professional and experienced the landlord. If your on your stuff and know what your doing, Mpls is just fine. But for novices, I see them messing up and stressing out over and over.

There is no 1 universal for an entire major metro-plex.
