Looking to connect-house hack in Rochester, NY area

I am looking to do a house hack on a duplex/triplex/fourplex around the Rochester, NY area for my first deal in 2024. I would like house hacking to be my first point of focus then move into MFHs/SFHs as I learn more.

I can contribute as I have a desire to continuously grow my knowledge, and I am willing to try new things and learn from others.

You’ve got the right idea! I think house hacking is the best way to get started.

I’m in Albany, NY. I started with a duplex house hack in 2011. I then moved on to non-owner occupied small multi family deals, eventually using private financing. I currently own 160 units. None of that would have been possible if I didn’t make that first house hack purchase.

In addition to the rental portfolio, I own a real estate brokerage. We don’t have any properties for sale in Rochester. But, we could possibly connect you with a good agent in the area if you don’t already have one.
