House Hacking as a single female

Soo..  here's one for the books (and honestly curious if this has happened to others).  I have a tenant that recently texted me that he has a crush on me.  I thought I nipped it in the bud and told him that was not appropriate especially since I was his landlord.  He said yep he got it and he'd stay PC.   Since then I only do any type of maintenance during the day and keep the door open and keep is as quick and professional as I can.   Today he just sent me a more inappropriate text after I installed a new lock in his unit yesterday and until recently he's been a great tenant, been here going his 2nd yr, never hear from him until lately.  Seriously I can not make up this stuff - guessing this doesn't happen to single men who are landlords!  What is WRONG with people!!!

I'm pretty PO'd right now and am refraining from texting back until I calm down.  Anyone dealt with this before?

@Heather S. once had a female tenant strip in front of me asking if I'd like to take a shower with her. So, it goes both ways, but a bit more risky for female landlords.

Would suggest that you tell him IN WRITING that since you've already spoken about this the next infraction will result in lease termination. You MUST document this and save his text messages to justify termination. Also, discuss this with eviction attorney ASAP to make sure you know what judge wil require.

Do NOT justify this tenant paying rent on time is reason to "be nice" about all this. How will on-time rental payments help you cope with rape, or worse - death?
