If you're on BiggerPockets, you probably can already guess what solution I believe would solve the starvation problem agents are going through right now. You're right; it's working with investors.

Whether an agent becomes Featured with us or not is fine with me as I'm not here to tell anyone how to run their business. The problem I see for most agents is the lack of adaptability or foresight to see an opportunity. I've spoken with dozens and dozens of agents at this point in 2024, for my own investment purposes as well as for BiggerPockets. I can tell you the majority thought this year was going to be a landslide victory in hopes of interest rates going down by March.

On top of that, another big flaw I find is agents not knowing how to properly comp houses and run numbers. Investors care about the numbers first before anything else. I, myself, when looking at a deal, don't care to ever see it in person unless I know the numbers of what's possible. This actually makes it even easier for an agent because they don't have to drive around looking at 10 houses before their client makes an offer on one.

Without BiggerPockets, it would be extremely difficult to find an investor-friendly agent because it was hard in 2010, and today not much has changed. It's why investors go through our Agent Finder. Speed, convenience, trust, and reliability of pursuing their goals with a trusted advisor.

That's it for today. I just wanted to say I'm not surprised by this study at all.

most top producing resi agents avoid investors like the plague.  Its a very niche part of RE.
