Why your OKC rental may not be renting....
So Okc was in a historic rental slump last month. If you cruise over Zillow you will see that there are around 1800 homes for rent. Of that 1800 only 459 are listed for below $1100 per month. The okc median income is $56k for a household which translates to the max they can afford in rent to being around $1500. As you can see there are a lot of overpriced rentals in okc. You can also see in this report from Zillow that in December of this year literally NO ONE was looking to move. While things are picking up this month a bit it will be interesting to see what the final numbers are. They for sure are still going to be below the averages for last month at this time.
