Best Mortgage Lenders in Indiana

Posted

I'm a first time home buyer looking to buy a $300,000 SFH in Indianapolis and I was was wondering who some of the best FHA mortgage lenders in Indiana are. For context, I'm a single, young professional with a 740+ credit score. I'm looking for FHA loans to put a 3.5%/$10,500 downpayment on a $300,000 home. I'm looking to rent out the additional bedrooms in the home I find.

I went to Chase and they gave me a pre-approval for a $300,000 home. The rate is at 6.75% though, and I've got some calls scheduled with GuaranteedRate, Better, and Loandepot to try and find better interest rates. I'm also going to check out the Indiana Members Credit Union.

Does anyone have any recommendations for the places where I can find the best interest rates? I know interest rates are high right now and I'm looking to negotiate the interest rates I receive using the rates from the other lenders. I appreciate the guidance!
