Canadian Investors & their Real Estate Deals

Posted

Hi everyone!  :) I am a Canadian real estate investor, and own a few condos in Montreal/Toronto. I am exploring my next real estate move, and open to all types of asset classes (multi-family, commercial, farmland etc) and abroad. I am on BiggerPockets daily, and continue to be inspired by the webinars and forums which have been VERY helpful in my education.

Since Canadian market/regulations are different from the US, I wanted to start a discussion to learn more about the experiences of Canadian investors: how/where they're investing in Canada (or globally) and any examples of deals or success stories you can share.

I have a portfolio of single family, small multifamily and commercial properties in Windsor. The cashflow is really attractive in Windsor which is why we choose to invest here. The vacancy rate is also extremely low and the rent to purchase price ratio is great. @Salvatore Giancola great to hear you took the leap investing in Windsor! You all may be interested to check out the facebook group WinCity Investors Club to connect with local investors. Also if you ever want to talk more about Windsor feel free to reach out, I'm happy to share my experiences and connections! :)
