Finding a good property manager

How do I know a property manager is the right fit? I know it varies based upon each investors needs.

Two things;

1) Education. Even if you don't self manage you should know how to do it. Two good books on the subject:

Landlording on Autopiot

2) Network: Reach out to your network for recommendations. Use your judgement here but consider the source of the recommendation and whether or not they're actually using that property manager or they're just recommending a friend.
