Gas piping insulation on roof

Som Jafari
Posted

Hey guys, I'm buying a duplex in Vista Ca. Is insulating the gas pipes on the roof something I can do myself ? I wasn't able to find any good tutorials/videos on the subject. Does anyone know what kind of material I should use? and what method I

should use?

thanks

You can assess how bad the corrosion is by using a wire brush. Brush it to remove the rust and spray leak seek depending on how bad the corrosion is. If you discover a leak, quickly notify your gas company, they will help you isolate your line.

Spray paint for metal/steel applications, id recommend a primer, and 2 top coats.
