Cleveland OH - latest eviction info

Consider putting debt collection language on all your notices; notifying your tenants you are in fact a debt collector as this latest information is now making evictions fall under the debt collection practices processes as well.  City of Cleveland is cracking down on this and other requirements to include lead safe certification and status certification by zip code at varying calendar dates. In addition, every entity has to be registered with State of Ohio before filing an eviction, Cleveland Affidavit for eviction is needed, eviction filing checklist is available as well. Contact the Cleveland Housing Court for more information. Best wishes.

I put debt collections on every tenant that owes me money. Then if they ever want to get a loan they need to pay me back.
