Cost pushed to tenant?

Hello,

I have a question regarding a maintenance cost and if this could be pushed to the tenant. I do not have a vent to the outside for a dryer. I told them in person and over message that if they were to buy a washer/dryer the dryer would need to be a ventless dryer. If the tenant bought a vented dryer, can I push the cost to install a vent to the tenant? Thank you in advance!

What I have done in similar situation in the past was split the cost with the tenant. I have another feature for the future at a reduced cost to install. The current tenant is happy to get what they want. Your situation is a little different though, so I don’t see a problem with making the tenant pay for it.
