Service Providers Scaring Tenants

So we had a duct cleaning person come out to do a bid on cleaning the ducts. While he was there he did a lot of explaining stuff to the tenants that scared them. This was stuff about the ducts themselves how they were installed wrong and told them to reach out to us so that he could fix it today… I feel like this was completely unnecessary and just an attempt to get more work. We hired him to clean them not do sheet metal fab and scare my tenants unnecessarily.

Have any of you had something similar happen? Maybe not necessarily a duct cleaner but any type of service provider try scaring your tenants into pressuring you into performing more/unnecessary work?

Thanks,

Robert
