Thoughts about cameras installed in Airbnb?

What people’s thoughts about adding cameras to common areas for Airbnb? Had items that broke the last few rentals and wanted to catch the incident that happened for claim purposes.

I suppose that depends what you mean by "common areas".  If you are talking the entry hallway that is open to the public, no problem.  If you are talking about the living room, I would be angry if I rented from you and later discovered their were cameras.  That is creepy.  It likely could open you to a lawsuit.

Last AirBNB we rented was filled with Google Hubs (all that have cameras that can be viewed remotely)  I unplugged every one for our stay.
