How many months in advance can I increase the rent of a room?
Hi,
I have a tenant that has been renting a room in one of my properties. He will be there for a year next January 2024.
How many months in advance do I need to let him know of an increase rent for next year?
How much can I increase it?
TIA

If he's lived there for less than a year, probably only 1 month, unless he's on a term lease right now. The more advance notice the better.
