Who uses standard mail for yellow letters?

I set up a standard mail, pre-canceled stamp account with the post office and now they're telling me that the yellow letter does not qualify and that it is first-class mail because it includes personal information, i.e. the address of the property I want to buy, in the letter. Some of you out there do this, right?

We have tested both the variable data within the letter and without and speaking to the prospect about their specific information tends to increase response rate.

That said we have about 1/4 of 1 percent of our customers who choose to not use variable data.

As to a drop in response. I see that from time to time. Mainly in the larger metro areas. February seemed to be slow in Pheniox and San Diego however boomed in New York and Philly.

I do see more people sending mail which has it good points for touches. I also promote sending different types of mail, not just a yellow letter. Heck post cards mailed correctly can work great.
