Obtaining Direct Mail Marketing Lists

Hi Everyone,

I'm about to kick-off my first Direct Mail Marketing (DMM) campaign and I'm at the point where I'm starting to compile my list. I've done some driving for dollars and found some hidden gems, but I'm looking for another strategy to fill my list. Please feel free to answer all or any one of the following questions:

(1) Who can I call to obtain different lists for free (or cheap)?

(2) What are your favorite paid sources that you use for DMM?

(3) How many pieces of mail do you prefer to send and how often? (Ex. 300 pieces; monthly)

(4) Any other awesome advice you might have?

Thank you all in advance for taking the time to answer these questions :)
