Seller Got Annoyed And Hung Up On Me

Hi everyone, I have been cold calling people recently and I found a really motivated seller. I asked him what he wanted to sell for and he said he hasn’t been following the market so he doesn’t know what to ask. So after some time, I eventually gave my offer (which was a lowball offer) and he didn’t seem too annoyed he just said he definitely can’t do that. So the next day I called to just check up on him and see if he came up with a number so he said 50k so I rebutted saying 40k he got really annoyed as I said I’m not sure about 50k and he hung up on me. This is my fault that it escalated to this because even 50k is really low and I don’t know why I didn’t say that would work for me. (Please keep in mind that this property is worth somewhere around 200k so I don’t know if this seller actually wanted 50k or he was just saying as 50k still being really low for him). Anyways, I have no idea what to do now, I don’t want to immediately call him back since he might still be annoyed at me, so how long should I wait to call him again. Also, what should I say to him this way when I call him he just won’t hang up on me? You help would be greatly appreciated as I’m in quite the sticky situation, thanks in advance for all of the help!

I will be harsh so sit down.

People like you is that give investors a bad name. Seriously, what the hell are you thinking? You are harassing people. (not sellers.. PEOPLE) and you are being annoying  I HATE HATE HAAATE when these health insurance people harass the hell out of me calling me every damn day.

You KNOW you are giving a low offer. He is NOT interested LEAVE HIM ALONE!!

Why do investors dehumanize sellers? They are people, have feelings get angry, get sad, have life issues. He is not interested in the lowball offer. Can you blame him?

What do you mean "what do I do now". You say it as if You have all the right or justification to do something. When your girlfriend doesnt like you anymore, even if the reason doesnt agree with you, you can not force her to change her mind. Sometimes you just need to accept things. You can't always change the situation to your advantage and not because you CAN you should.

If you are 15, you are WAY too young to do this business. You simply have not developed skills of responsibility like a grown up has.

I however will not just bash you. I will give you some guidance.

This is what you do.

Use this time to learn all you need to learn. Find someone that is willing to take you in and do tasks for them in return for knowledge and training.

When you know what you need to know, you will eventually grow up and learn what it is to be a responsible adult.

THEN you tackle investing again.

You simple are not at the right mind development to play with peoples lives like that.

I mean, you know yourself you gave them a lowball offer. If he doesnt accept your lowball offer, why are you forcing the issue?

Just stop this little man.  This is not cool.
