Is BBB cost worth it?

We recently hired an intern and during a discussion yesterday she mentioned that she tried to find us on BBB to see if we were legit.

I never thought about having that additional third-party accreditation like BBB would be worth it.  Would someone chose to sell their house to use because of an accreditation they see on our website?

Wondering who uses it?  Why?  and if there are other accreditation services that we should explore as well.

My personal opinion is that BBB is a massive scam

It's purely a pay-to-play manufactured credential.

That aside, if you have been running business fine and not even thought about it, I hardly think it's worthwhile.

for reference, Tesla has a failing BBB record.
