Advice on Finding Great Investor Mentors

Good morning all, can you all offer tips on how you have found your mentors? I want to ultimately work along and side by side with someone who can teach me the ins and out of New York investing. Where and how would I find someone who would let me tag along and learn the things that they do? P.S. I am currently a real estate associate mainly working in Brooklyn..
