Meeting with a mentor

Hi guys just had a meeting with my mentor for the first time and it went well . He basically told me since I'm 22 with no real money to invest in with real estate yet . That I should go to school and focus on obtaining a license so banks or private money Leander's and hard money lenders will be more confident that I have some type of knowledge in the field ? I thought it was good advice and I can understand where he was coming from . Any thoughts or suggestions? I'm hungry and dedicated to get out of my job immediately so I am going to continue to grow my knowledge and foundations .
