Absentee direct mail

I am wondering how you all do an absentee direct mail piece to ie. 2,000 homeowners using a service that prints and mails them for you. It has to be genereic and say "homeowner" and it doesn't list where the house is that you are interested in buying because that would be 2,000 different addresses mentioned in the body of the letter or postcard. I could buy the spreadsheet from Melissa amd customize each letter myself but that would be very time consuming. How do you do it for absentees?
