Bandit sign sizes

In your experience do you get a considerably lower response rate with a smaller bandit sign campaign versus a larger one? For example 12 x 18 versus 18 x 24?

My experience in seeing them, the bigger they are, the quicker they are removed!  For those that insist on breaking laws and ordinances, I'd think the smaller the size the better, like the size of a dollar bill as it may be mistaken for some windshield flyer and not a sign.

Anyone who is knowingly and willing to break laws and ordinances screams their business ethics to the public, you know they are willing to cheat some, the only question becomes, to what extent will they not cheat or break laws? What else do I have to be concerned with in dealing with a willful law breaker?

We have had a pretty good public advertising campaign by the city getting rid of unauthorized and illegal signs and that point was made, how can you trust someone to do business with someone who breaks the law?

Why not just rent a billboard, buy a bus stop ad, put your ad on a city bus, or buy a T-Shirt and wear it out in public, like at the box stores. Send mail, post flyers where legal on windshields like other low budget advertisers, the people usually look at it if nothing more than to toss it.

Now, if you're in some place that doesn't have sign ordinances, like in the boonies, the size or a Realtor's sign is a tried and proven size. :)
