Is Chicago a good market for investors right now

Hi All,

I'm new to investing and just signed for Pro recently. I know every market is different I'm just curious to know if anyone has advice on getting started in the chicago market or Illinois in general. Any success stories finding properties worth investing in. I live here but this is not my first choice for purchasing and investing in real estate because of the expensive taxes. Let me know if you think Chicago is a good market for investors

Yes, it's good for many investors. The activity here on the forums shows evidence of that.

My advice is to read the Chicago forum posts consistently, network, and listen to the Straight Up Chicago Investor podcast to learn more about what is working for investors here. Also, let people know how you're interested in getting started and then people can help you.
