Screening international students

Hi BPs,

I invest in a area with a lot of students,

And many of them international.

Most college student apply for a rental, they will usually have low or no credit history, some of them does not even have a SSN and no income.

Most student end up having to have a co-signer because the lack of income, however how should a veto a co-signer? And if their co-signer (aka parents) are not in the US how would you screen them?
