Multi unit properties

Is it a myth that you can’t expect to get good credit tenants for multi units? I tried listing a single family property for rent on Zillow myself and all I got were applications with poor credit.

Is it fair to expect the same for multi unit as well? How do you deal with this? What am I doing wrong

Here's how to avoid attracting poor quality tenants:  in your listing, put your minimum qualifying criteria.  For example:  "It's a great place to call home.   A minimum credit score of xxx and a security deposit will be required for qualified applicants."

A lot of "challenged tenants" look for properties available from an owner/landlord - expecting that they won't be screened or the criteria will be less than from a company ran property.

You can always make more money but time is finite...save your sanity and time by disclosing your requirements upfront.
