Sales Picking UP

On my local news tonight. Houses are starting to move. There was an increase in escrows closed so far this month and more houses in the "pending" file.

I've been seeing some "sold" signs on properties.

Mortgage brokers are seeing an increase in applications, but unable to fund many of them due to new bank restrictions.

Personally, about half of the applicants for my current vacancy have told me that they plan to buy this spring..... thus garnering themselves an automatic rejection. But I remind myelf it is the thought that counts and they are planning on buying, which has to be good for the local housing market. Mnay of them have just sold a house, so they actually really can buy and aren't just dreaming.
