I was asked a question today while I was on guard (Currently in Afghanistan) and to keep the whole conversation shorr the main point of it was if Fayetteville is a good market to invest in, or was the place downsizing and all the buyers leaving (due to the military downsize). What do the local investors think? Personally I don't see the area being a problem but now I'm curious. Thanks for your time.

@Chris Pastrana

Thank you for your service.

I currently cannot speak for Fayetteville. I will say that my husband is also military. We are actively buying real estate at various military installations. I think the important thing is to know your installation. The installations we are buying at are growing because they offer things that most of the other country doesn't (people/area who doesn't mind bombs and noise). I think the biggest thing about the downsize is to pay attention to the local policies.

If you are not hearing scuttle but about large troop reassignments or overall downscaling. I wouldn't be too worried.
