We have been in escrow for 1 year

Hey everyone my name is Arman Bagdasaryan 16 year old aspiring real estate investor. Me and my family are in a dilemma. My parents got in offer excepted on a rental property about 1 year ago and they have been in escrow ever since. How ever we communicate and ask why, there is always some excuse saying that the current owners are moving and that need more time. The agent that listed it got hit by a car etc.. Any advice on what to do here. Do we cancel the escrow and back out. Very confused on what to do here. Any advice will help thank you so much!
