How will rising interest rates effect foreclosures?

While I grasp that  higher interest rates will likely slow Real Estate appreciation and price increase in the retail ecosystem,  I struggle to understand how it will impact foreclosures.  I realize this is a broad question, but I'm curious as to what other investors think?  Please "game it out" for me as you see fit.

it could affect those who signed up for  20 due in 5 and now there loans are up for renewal and the rates go up and puts stress on the borrower.

although I dont see this leading to a flood of foreclosures those investors could choose to sell.

the highly leveraged investor could have some issues tho..
