Where to invest $100,000 cash?

Lauren E.
Posted

Hi All-

I recently came into a little over $100,000 cash and I am hoping to find some good advice here on where to invest it. I live in NY but I’m open to out-of-state opportunities that will generate cash flow. I’m also able to obtain financing up to $1MM. I realize this is a very general inquiry, but I’d love some good direction to get started here.
Thanks,

LE

Hi @Lauren E.,

I think a lot of this depends on your personal goals in life and how real estate investing fits into that.  If your keen on investing and want to be in it for the long haul then using your $100k to purchase a $750k-$1MM property sounds excellent, assuming it cashflows enough for you to safely operate.

If you're primarily interested in capital growth and not super interested in being personally involved in the investments then you could look at being Private Money for a flipper or BRRRR operator, or you could park your $ into some syndications and watch them work their magic :)
