I live in NY, but want to buy and hold rental properties in FL. Where should the LLC originate?

Thanks.

@Brie Schmidt. Thank you for that. It didn’t seem to make sense given so many variables. Appreciate the response.

I’m finding that this is tough to achieve. Even on well located, healthy income-producing and appreciating properties. How often are you able to hit that target and what are the reasons that you would consider buying below?

Thanks!

Thanks all!  Glad to know I have some expertise and support in the Jacksonville area here.  What are your thoughts on single family vs multi-family for rentals in Jax?

I realize that these are all C/D class areas but are any of them considerably better or worse from a rental property investment standpoint in 2021?  Any I should focus on or steer away from?

Thanks!

I've been told that this is a fantastic place to purchase rental properties.  Anyone care to weigh in?  If so, does anyone have a good broker, management company and/or contractor to share?

Thanks!

Thanks.  I'm definitely interested in rental properties.  Interesting idea with the life insurance policy.  Curious to know what the advantages are there?  Thanks!

These are always fun hypothetical questions because anyone who answers them really has a sense that they have a special answer that could really best use the money. But here's the deal, you can't go wrong with real estate as long as you put forth a minimal amount of research. Buy a home in a decent neighborhood, use the most leverage you're allowed, rent it to a well vetted tenant and you'll create wealth. If you can find a bank that will allow you to buy three or four houses with that money, you'll produce decent cashflow immediately and have anywhere between $750,000 and $1.25 million assets under management.

If I were in the driver's seat for this one, the only tweak I'd make on that plan would be to purchase the largest Whole Life Insurance policy I could afford. I'd borrow against the policy to still accomplish the above without any delays.

Best of luck, and I hope you get several creative answers from smarter Pocketeers than I.

Hi All-

I recently came into a little over $100,000 cash and I am hoping to find some good advice here on where to invest it. I live in NY but I’m open to out-of-state opportunities that will generate cash flow. I’m also able to obtain financing up to $1MM. I realize this is a very general inquiry, but I’d love some good direction to get started here.
Thanks,

LE
