How You Do One Thing Is How You Do Everything!
Hi Everybody, I am Fairly new to this and I am not 100% sure what to post but I wanted to share whats happening now since it is fresh on my mind.
I received a call off of one of our bandit signs last year around thanksgiving time from a lady who was just "thinking" about selling her house. She didnt sound like someone who was serious about selling and I know that a lot of people would have just shrugged her off and move onto the next seller but I talked to her for about half an hour or so. Building Human Equity along the way. She told me about her sons, family and places shes been to things like that. I knew she wasn't going to sell me her house but the conversation was nice. At the end of the conversation I made her promise me that if she ever did decide to call her house to please give me a call and at least here what i could offer her.
Fast Forward to April 4 of this year and guess who is giving me a call. Thats right! She kept her promise. We made her an offer which she excepted and closed on it Yesterday! She was extremely happy with me and I even got a Glowing testimonial letter.
Now I say all that to say this...
Building Human Equity with anyone you talk to is almost Essential to do business. That was one conversation 6 months ago that turned into a Win-Win situation for both of us. All because I spent a little extra time on the phone and was nice... She remembered me because I was different then everyone else just trying to take down an address. I really did want to know how her day was, and whether I could help turn it around or not...
"How you do one thing is How you do Everything."
I realized that I am nice to everyone I encounter and when I am on the phone it is the same thing.
Thanks for reading and if you have any similar stories I would really enjoy reading them. I don't think I have stopped reading since I got on Bigger Pockets.
Another thing I thought was amazing, when I met with her to sign contracts she gave me the biggest hug a seller has ever given me! :)
