I saw an abandoned home but it is in a real estate agent name.

Hello I'm Stacy I'm new to BP I am just now getting into the wholesale deal. If I can just get advice on what to do after finding property I will gladly be appreciated.

So I went driving for dollars and I saw an abandoned home. When I looked up the property tax it says it is paid up. The property is in a real estate agent name. Should I still send a letter about buying the property. There are yellow signs in the yard and yellow permits on the window. The rehab has obviously already started and it looks like the roof is bad because water is on the floor. What should I do at this point

Move on...a realtor investor who is in the process of rehabbing a property is not going to be willing to sell it for anything less than top dollar since the investment has already started.  And, I seriously doubt the realtor will be willing to accept a wholesale contract since they can market the property him/herself.  As important as it is to find the right properties, it's more important to know when to move on.  I think this is one of those instances.

Welcome to BP.  See you again in the forums.
