Using listsource to find leads

Listsource is something I've heard a few times on BP podcasts.

Today I registered to use it and built up a list of absentee owners using some of the criteria.

I'm wondering how much success others have had using listsource and then using direct mail via yellowletters or something else.

I understand fully that I can mail out thousands of letter and get a few hundred calls and get a small number of deals.

I'm just starting out so I'm thinking that driving around and finding signs or using the MLS at this point would be more beneficial to me rather than waiting around for months for some one to respond to a letter. I do plan to use listsource and yellowletters a lot, but again, I'm thinking that isn't the best starting point.

What do you all think? Should I go ahead and use listsource and use direct mail marketing or should I continue to search for deals other ways until I get to a certain point.

Keep in mind I don't know what results will come from either route. I'd like to know what others have found to be most successful in the beginning, say for the first 1-5 deals.

Hey @Cleotha Euwins It really depends on budget.  It comes down to time vs money. If you have more money then setting up a direct mail campaign and getting it automated is the way to go. If your budget is tight then you can drive for dollars, cold call and find deals in other ways.

If you do want to go the direct mail route let me know and I can give you some more information on how to get started.

Cheers!
