Working for knowledge, not for money..?

Hi I recently became highly interested in becoming an investor, as it seems an attractive retirement plan. After reading a few books (one of them being "Rich Dad Poor Dad" ofcourse) the idea of switching to a job to learn instead of working solely for money seemed interesting. I've been in construction for years now, and have a good understanding of how home building works both inside and out.. I would highly appreciate if anyone wants to share, or recommend a move for me that would benefit my knowledge in understanding the market better, process of buying and selling etc... would becoming a real estate agent/ broker be a good step forward? Thank you for your time, this is a great tool!

Welcome to BP!

Great question and you have the right mindset. I think you should reverse engineer what you want to do. Being a broker or an agent won't help you become an investor, if that is what you want to become.
