How do you get a deal under contract

I'm relatively new to the real estate game I want to know how do you get a deal under contract do you jus go up to the seller and say I want to buy your home let's put it under contract how does it work and what is the language involved in "putting a deal under contract" what is the first step?🤔 thank you

Robert, google Michigan real estate contracts. Its best to actually have a real estate lawyer review a contract you will use. You need that RE lawyer on your team anyways. Perhaps one would review, provide you with, or suggest one for you as you will be a future client.

Then, find your leads. You can knock on doors, send out mailers, or make posts on FB or craigslist telling the universe what you are looking to purchase. 

When you meet with people you need to know your numbers of what you think you will offer and then make sure you can make decisions on how much less or more you can offer based on what you find in their home. Also, don't be nervous. They can tell and will be turned off to working with you.
