The beginning stages of finding a tenant

Hey everyone,  I am closing on my first property ever and I am unsure on how the process of getting a tenant works.  For example, what service should I use to collect applications?  Once I find the right tenant, do I just sign a standard lease agreement with them?  Should I ask for help from a lawyer during this process?

I am new to rentals and owning  property in general (I still live with my parents) so any advice on the beginning stages of getting a tenant will be super helpful!

Thank you!

I use cozy.co for my applications

I also suggest you get Brandon Turner's book on managing rental properties- there are sample leases, move in inspection forms, deposit to hold agreements, and a bunch of other useful forms that come along with the book

I put my rentals up on Zillow Rental Manager and Craigslist and usually get a ton of interest. No realtor needed.
