South Side Chicago (South Shore) Investment

I was recently interested in purchasing a multifamily property and receive a solid CAP rate. The research led to me to cheaper properties in the South Side, more specifically South Shore and nearby areas. Would purchasing a property and leaving it to a management company would be a worthwhile investment? Are there better areas for a similar price range? Also, is easy to find tenants in the area due to the population density?

@Abhi Patel  There are certainly better areas then others on the southside and more specifically South Shore.   If going to buy down there find a PM first then work with them to find a good deal even if you use the PM for just advice.
