Crime Statistics

I live in Orange County, CA. I want to more narrowly focus in on particular neighborhoods. For the most part, the OC is fairly safe. But I know there are pockets where one might not want to venture. Santa Ana, for instance, has a reputation for gangs and violent crime. But I know for a fact there are some really nice neighborhoods in Santa Ana. What is the best source for crime statistics? I would love to narrow things down by zip code, or even get more granular if possible.

@Jason K Green

If you want to narrow down reported crime by a particular street, then the Orange County Sheriff's Department website might be a good source OCSD.
