My First Apartment | A Video Diary - Before Renovations

Hello all!

So the time has come!  It has been MONTHS since I started the process in acquiring my first property and have come across text book difficulties such as the tenant not willing to move out (this unit comes from a deceased estate and the son of the deceased mother refused to leave).

Long story short and a few months later I managed to get the keys.

I love renovation shows and thought I would document this entire process as I know there are others who would be interested in seeing the transformation.

Renovation overview:

  • Knock down the wall between kitchen and lounge
  • Tile throughout the flat
  • Repaint the walls, ceilings and skirting
  • Install new kitchen cupboards, stove, hob and geyser
  • Raise the ceiling in the bathroom
  • Retile the bathroom

I'm looking forward to posting update videos!

Please feel free to ask questions and I will gladly answer to the best of my ability.

The walls have been knocked down between the kitchen and living room and all the parquet flooring and cupboards have been removed.

This weeks task is to clear the debris, fix the ceiling and prepare the floors for tiling.
