Hi,

Has anyone dealt with obtaining a New Jersey State Certificate for a multi-family dwelling.  This particular property has 3 units, that will be seasonally rented during summer months.   The state is coming in to conduct an inspection, and I would like to know if anyone has been through this and what the state looks for....

Any help out there?!!???

Thanks in advance,

Ryan

Yeah, I've done this.  Every 5 years to get your "Green Card".  Make sure all your smoke alarms and CO2 detectors are working.  Make sure nothing blocks any entrance or exit.  Make sure your plumbing doesn't have any open anything, etc.  They're there to make sure it's a safe place to live.  They even check doors for safety.  You'll be fine.  Not that big of a deal.
