Rezoning and permits

Hi BP family, does anyone know anything about rezoning and permitting in New York? I'm trying to add square footage to a property by adding another bedroom. Any advice is well appreciated.

I would suggest you should consult with an expediter, since it's not so easy to deal with the building department, especially if you'relooking to change the zoning.
