Hello, I am a newcomer in China. Anyone interested in Chinese real estate marketing and would like to share your opinions? How is the investing environment in China? Thank you in advance.

@Yushi Bai Welcome to Biggerpockets. You've found a great place to meet other investors in your country, and around the world.  I'm not quite sure if you are an investor living in China wanting information on the Chinese market, or a member in China offering advice for investors wanting to market in China so can you explain a little more?

 I am looking for advice. I live in China, that is true, however, I am an amateur in terms of real estate investing. I am a PhD majoring on biochemistry. But I am interested in real estate investing and searching for financial independence. So, here I am looking for advice.

 In addition, since I am in China. I can provide some local survey of the market, if anyone is interested and want to invest in Chinese real estate.

@Yushi Bai

Welcome to BP.  I also live in China so feel free to ping me if you have any specific questions as a Chinese investor.

In general, this BP platform gives a lot of information on investing in the US real estate market so enjoy the reading. You might feel a bit overwhelmed as there are many cities in the US that each have unique characteristics. I find it helpful to outline what you are looking for: you mention financial independence. This could be achieved different ways namely by investing in real estate for cash flow purposes or for appreciation purposes (or a mix of these two items). Certain cities in the US (e.g. cities in the midwest and south) are much better for cash flow and other cities (e.g New York, LA, San Francisco) are more suitable for appreciation purposes.

good luck!

@Yushi Bai welcome Yushi.. I can recommend if you’re looking to invest in the US, invest where Chinese people invest in and you won’t go wrong.. Where Chinese people invest in they will make sure there is appreciation, great cashflow, and potential for commercial activities... I would also invest in spill-over cities like Philadelphia. Spill-over from NY, since it’s become too expensive that they are coming down to Phila, which is still very affordable, to buy or invest.
