I want to invest in Dallas while living inCA. Does anyone know about the rental market? Which area is hot and which to stay away? Any input will help.

As others have mentioned, all of Dallas/Ft Worth is very hot right now.  If you are planning on investing from out of state I would definitely stay away from some of the traditionally tougher areas of the market... South Dallas, parts of east Dallas and parts of SE Ft Worth.
